It is only a few hours before the curtain comes down on the 2019/20 Champions League season as Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-German lock horns in Lisbon tonite.

Despite losing 5-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt and subsequently getting rid of their manager in November 2019, Bayern Munich embarked on an aggressive journey this season and are now considered one of the strongest teams in Europe.

Their 7-2 demolition of Tottenham Hotspur in October last year showed their potency in Europe but it is only since the dawn of 2020 that they have emerged as favourites to successfully challenge for honours.

To prove their supremacy, they will have to fly past Paris Saint-Germain which has an audacious team that arguably has an even bigger motivation to win the Lisbon encounter as it vies for its inaugural European title.

Since its formation in 1970, PSG have never gone beyond the quarter-finals so this season seems to be a breaking point for the current side.
This means that tonight’s showdown has the potential to bring in new European champions which makes it tricky to predict who will emerge victorious.

As the clock ticks closer to the highly-anticipated encounter in the Portuguese capital, attention on both clubs’ squads is of paramount importance as they are both hungry for goals.

There is therefore no better way of comparing PSG and Bayern’s quality against each other than by waiting until the referee blows the final whistle.
