AT first glance, this gospel group’s name reads like those fancy gospel group names such as Zimpraise and Joyful Praise, however this one is set to blow many peoples’ minds.

Inspired by Apostolic Sect music pioneers, Vabati VaJehovah and determined to ensure this genre of music never fades into oblivion is the Waves of Praise Gospel Group.

The group last year released their debut album titled ‘Unokanganwa’ consisting of 10 tracks namely Nyarara mweya, Simba raMwari, Kurwa, Hakuna, Tsime, Ndingafa zvangu, Woneso as well as the album title track. These songs revive the memories of Vabati vaJehovah kind of music.

Formed in April last year, the group hails from the International Apostolic Faith Mission and is composed of ten male members.

The Waves of Praise Gospel also has three singles to their belt entitled Hatirasi moyo, Svinurai and Nguva. They derive their inspiration from the church choir named Dzika mutumwa along with other gospel artists and groups.

The group says it vows to continue raising the Apostolic Sect music high.

Currently, the group is recording new singles having last released Svinurai and Nguva last September.
